Rockpit Brewing

Jeremy’s grandfather, Homer Little, was a coal miner for the Red Jacket Coal Company in West Virginia until they closed the mine in 1959. After that he uprooted the family (with Jeremy’s mom in tow) and headed to Orlando. Homer went to work for Orkin and Disney World and retired from Disney in the 1980’s while Jeremy was a just a kid. He spent many evenings watching his grandfather work his magic on the bandsaw until he passed away in 1997.

Chris’s great-great grandfather, Wasyl Rock, was born in Austria in 1876 and emigrated to the U.S. in 1895. After getting his feet wet in American culture he made the trek to the Pittsburgh area and worked in coal mines in the area until 1942.

We’re bringing the same blue-collar work ethic our ancestors brought to our brewery.

We’ve painstakingly built nearly everything you seen in our brewery. The tables, the bar, the cool rooms and even the bathroom stalls. We didn’t want the same thing that you’ll find at any other brewery. To do that, we had to build everything ourselves.

We’ve paid attention to every little detail and hope that you enjoy the ambiance and more importantly, the hand-crafted beer you’ll enjoy in our brewery.
